WARNING! In case you weren't aware of it, gasoline is highly flammable. You should absolutely NOT attempt this modification with gas in the tank. Additionally, you should not do the following modification without first consulting a petrochemical engineer and your professional mechanic. I take no responsibility if you blow yourself up!

To remove the emblem, I heated it with a hair dryer, then used a piece of fishing line to separate the emblem from the tank. I used a bit of a sawing motion with the fishing line to get the emblem off. Once I got the emblem off, there was some residue from the adhesive left on the tank. I removed the residue with my favorite solvent.
